About Peytie Sarfeh
Peytie Sarfeh Slater is a knitwear designer and artist based in London. Born in San Diego, California, Peytie began designing at the age of 14, wanting to explore self-expression and communication through clothing. Fashion became their way of communicating with the world, a tool for imagination, experimentation, and storytelling.
In 2020, Peytie moved to London to study knitwear at London College of Fashion. There, they explored their craft through a playful, conceptual lens — merging technical knitting with explorative storytelling and concepts. During their time at LCF, Peytie won the LCF x KnitUp competition, creating a collection that was sold internationally. They were also a finalist in the Feel the Yarn competition, partnering with Filmar Yarns to design a piece showcased at the Pitti Filati showcase in Florence. Their work was later featured in the TEX+ exhibition, celebrating emerging talent in textile design.
Today, Peytie lives in London, working as a freelance designer and running their brand, Peytie Sarfeh — a space for styling oneself to feel like play and imagination.
Their work usually explores themes of human nature through a whimsical lens, inviting the wearer to explore beyond their limits and to stay curious.
